A large and vivid pink rhodochrosite stone is showcased on this vintage sterling silver ring with high mount and decorative openwork, circa 1930s.

The Art Deco ring consists of sterling silver with floral leafy flourishes, and decorative prongs set with a genuine oval shaped cab of rhodochrosite, also known as an "Inca Rose" gemstone, featuring pink and white banding, and measuring approximately 17 x 20mm in size. 

It measures a size 6&1/4 on my ring mandrel, weighs 7.6 grams, and is marked “Ster” along the inside shank.
