We stop to reflect and remember – loved ones we’ve lost, or who are far away, are never truly gone. OPAL STONE - The Opal stone has always been associated with love and passion. Wearing an opal is said to bring about loyalty and faithfulness in the wearer. Opals come in a variety of colours ranging from yellow and pink to green and blue. Your necklace might have a different coloured opal than what is pictured on our website. In collaboration with MURKANI, the CONNECTED Collection features artworks created by Aboriginal Artist, Daisy Hill. The pieces in this collection represent connection and are a celebration of our relationships with Mother Earth, with loved ones here and passed, with each other and with those who care for us. In celebration of our First Nations people, this collection was conceived to honour the cultural traditions and knowledge that has been passed between generations for thousands of years. For every piece sold from the CONNECTED Collection, $5 will be donated to the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF). AIEF provides scholarships to enable Indigenous youth to access high-quality secondary education opportunities and supports them to successfully transition into further studies or employment. The symbols and meanings shared are unique to Daisy Hill and do not represent all First Nations people. All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural groups have different perspectives, interpretations and understandings of the stories and knowledge. They are the oldest known civilisation on Earth and their knowledge has been passed between generations for over 75,000 years.
